Arizona

Arizona was warm. and a very nice 5 day weekend, that was much needed, now I am taking a break from my mid-term homework and giving you the deets of my visit.

Me and tracie waiting in the airport with our boon--the flight was delayed like 4 hours
me and tracie in a certain ex-presidential candidates ex-front yard. (I guess I should clarify--those couches aren't normally in his front yard, but were put there by someone I know!)
his name rhymes with Lawn McTain.
and of course I got to see nica and hang out with her, and we dipped stawberries and sugar cookies (fyi-not the best combo sugar cookies + chocolate = yuckie tummy)
me and Tracie just happened to make it to the temple-I hadn't been there since I was barely a beehive, and it was really cool to see it again!
wish me luck on my mid terms!

I found something...

I like this necklace, I want to hear all your opinions.
How do you feel if I wore this
On campus?
To a wedding?
As a bridesmaid?
At the grocery store?
While I'm cooking my dinner?
Five Petal Hydrangea Necklace

feedback, please! I have yet to find the perfect necklace, but I this is growing on me.

P.S. Have a good weekend! I will be enjoying mine in Phoenix! (love me some buddy passes)

"Celebration of Teenage Years Lost"

...not like I am really celebrating. Yet. It was a weird thing turning 20. I am still forgetting that I am twenty. Its crazy!!!!! SOO, anyway, enough of this dialect, I am going to put your brains to rest with lots of pictures and very little words.
First off, went and saw this. It was a good movie. That Tad Hamilton fellow is sooooo easy on the eyes. All I'm gonna say.
When in Rome

Then did some random assortment of shopping (I got jammie bottoms! and a cute cardigan)
Then my girls got together and the gave me some sweet gift cards (plus we swapped some stories. Love you!)
and they made me an all vanilla cake!
(THAT HAD SPARKLERS! hence my crazy face)
Then Ms. Kentucky's face in the Miss America Pageant was pretty classic--definitely added to my day. We probably watched that 5 times.
Then for my family party on Sunday we had yummy Cafe Rio Salad with very delectable sweet potatoes, delish brazilian lemonade, and my classic, "All American Chocolate Cake" from Costco. As soon I discovered that, I think that's been my cake of choice.
Thanks M for walking through the "Valley of the Shadow of Death", Dad....Thanks for being the paycheck.
TO my siblings, these past 2o years, you've been my only ones.
and to my "in-laws" you've been kind to my only siblings, which in turn makes them kind to me. KEEP IT UP!!!!!
Friends:
You know who you are. In fact, you're probably reading this post right now! Imagine that. I know you are awesome, which is why we are friends. YAY!

Necklaces

SOOO for my birthday (which pictures will be posted soon--I realize that I have been all words and no pictures for a while) my parents gave me X amount of dollars and told me I could do with it whatever I pleased. Since I am burned out of my default "buy clothes" birthday plan, I decided to go with fancy jewelery. I think its a good growing-up-not-going-to-be-a-teenager gift. But I need ideas. I want something nice and fancy, but also something that I could wear everyday.
Here are a couple of things I had in mind....

Although you are mostly paying for the name for Tiffany's, I really like the design of those two. I have been trying to look for other things, but I need help!

Ambo

This little miss is the big two-oh (and shes got a ring on her finger too)! She was my friend when I was going through my awkward-transition phase in high school, and thankfully she has stayed that way! Love you chicka!

Friendly face gone

Almost three years ago, I went on the best trip of my life. You can see the whole post about it here (although most of you have already read it).
The whole group of us was divided into families, and my family and another family were really close. McKay Burrows was a member of the other family. You can read about his death here. McKay, you were always such a fun kid. Rest in peace, you will be missed. But the memories that you helped create for me and others on Heritage Tours will be cherished.

I like to pretend I'm Asian, only McKay could pull it off, though.

Double check

SO last night I was doing the normal get-ready-for-bed routine. Wash face, examine beauty, brush teeth, floss, etc.
As I was brushing my teeth, I was thinking, "why does my toothbrush feel weird?" and "my hand doesn't normally fit like this on my tooth brush."
Then it dawned on me.

I was using my roomates toothbrush.
Gross, right? I KNOW! The funny thing is, we share a toothbrush holder, and probably a week ago, I had pasted the bristles, then ALMOST put it in my mouth, but I caught myself. Then I yelled to Carly to come brush her teeth because I had pasted her brush.

But this time, once I realized that it was Carly's brush I was using, I started to laugh, then I walked into her room with my foamy mouth and her foamy tooth brush just chillin next to my face, so she could see what I'd done.
I've got to double check everytime I brush!

Whoopsie Daisy!
